The 2023 product introduction describes a blend shaped by American oak ex-bourbon casks, combining first-fill and refill wood. Vanilla-like sweetness gives way to the warming spice described in its tasting notes.
This is a no-age-statement expression, presented through the balance of the finished blend. Honey, vanilla and cinnamon are tasting impressions, not claims about added ingredients.

The name draws inspiration from Scottish tales of whisky hidden away from the taxman, including bottles beneath broody hens. The little hen and green label bring that hidden-spirit story into the present.
